Our Programs

Program Overview

At Community Partners in Care (CPIC), our mission is to support caregivers and strengthen families connected to the foster care system. We recognize that navigating the child welfare system can be complex and overwhelming, and we are committed to ensuring caregivers have access to guidance, education, and meaningful support.

Through our programs, CPIC works to empower caregivers with the knowledge, tools, and community connections needed to advocate effectively for the children in their care.

Parent-to-Parent

Parent-to-Parent is the cornerstone program of Community Partners in Care. This program is designed to support foster, kinship, and adoptive caregivers through mentorship, education, and practical guidance from individuals who understand the foster care system firsthand.

Parent-to-Parent focuses on helping caregivers navigate the many systems that impact the children in their care, including child welfare agencies, courts, educational systems, and community-based services. Through guidance and shared experience, caregivers gain the knowledge and confidence needed to advocate effectively for the children they support.

Community Resources:

 Community Resources & Support

Community Partners in Care recognizes that caregivers and families often need support from a variety of services and resources. While our primary focus is caregiver mentorship, education, and system navigation through the Parent-to-Parent program, we also work to connect families with broader community supports.

Through partnerships, referrals, and community outreach efforts, CPIC helps connect families with resources such as:

• mental health providers
• educational support services
• caregiver support networks
• community-based organizations
• family service agencies

In addition, as resources allow, CPIC may provide community support through initiatives such as:

• distribution of tangible goods for children and caregivers
• food and essential item giveaways
• seasonal resource distributions
• sharing information about community services available to families

Our goal is to help ensure that caregivers and families have access to the resources and support needed to promote stability and well-being for the children in their care.
